By David Charash DO, CWS, FACEP, FUHM,

Expedition Medicine: What every Diver Needs to Know! (Register Here)

Expedition Medicine: What every Diver Needs to Know!

A diving journey might lead us to an exotic destination far from civilization and the nearest medical facility. Understanding and anticipating the many dynamic issues related to traveling in far and away places require significant planning and preparation. Dr. Charash will review common expedition medicine topics as it relates to dive planning in distant places. Topics will include medical fitness, determining first aide and dive safety gear as well as preparing for various climatic conditions. A detailed look at dive safety planning will be discussed.  The may concepts discussed will help divers improve their safety profile whether you are an experienced technical diver planning a distant excursion or diving in local waters as a recreational diver.
