Southern Maryland Divers, LLC is proud to fully support the Southern Maryland Dive Club. While not tethered to the business, the dive club has the full support of the shop. The club is designed for everyone and anyone to join us at our meetings to learn new things, discuss dive trips, and meet new people.
The club has no membership requirements or dues, and is very informal. Just show up to the meetings and enjoy the content that has been put together for you.
The club schedules local fun dives, oyster diving, and other fun SCUBA related activities.
Close to Home Diving Adventure!
As divers and underwater photographers we love to travel to exotic destinations, but we also love to dive close to home. Jumping in our car could be as exciting as taking nine flights to the other side of the world! Join Larry and Olga as they travel up and down the east-coast. They will show images of blue lobsters and ice diving in New England. The blue sharks and marine life near Montauk. Shipwrecks off the coast of New York, New Jersey, 1000 Islands, as well as the attractions of Dutch Springs Park for scuba divers and the caves of Central Florida. They will also show photos of the wrecks, marine life and sand tiger sharks from North Carolina, known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic that lures divers from around the world. Larry and Olga will also discuss the photo techniques used to capture the images.
Looking for a different diving adventure that is easy and close to home? How about swimming with one of the ocean’s most beautiful sharks, the blue shark. Just 20 to 30 miles off our northeast coast, where the gulfstream meets coastal waters, is a prime area to encounter blues and other interesting pelagics like makos, ocean sunfish, tuna, turtles, whales and dolphins. Discover why you’ll want to make this adventure a bucket list priority.
